Stephanie Gillespie is by far the best trainer I have worked with. Her lessons are well structured, with a focus on correct position and technique. When I started to work with Stephanie, I was a nervous rider who was merely a passenger, allowing my horse to dictate what we were doing. Thanks to Stephanie and some hard work, I am now a much more confident and proficient rider with a proper partnership with my horse.

Getting back in the saddle after decades was going to take some work. Steph offered me the perfect support, instilling in me the confidence to go forward and thrive. Under her expert tuition, Steph patiently developed my horse and I to a point where we are an accomplished partnership.
Joanne W.
Stephanie is someone who really cares for the horse and rider's needs. She has been instrumental in helping me to achieve a deeper relationship with my own horse. I have a weakness on my right side due to a previously acquired brain injury, and her instructions are always tailored to both horse and rider’s requirements. Over time, my position and seat have improved monumentally thanks to careful training. She is someone who is totally invested in getting the best out of horse and rider. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

who am i?
I am a competitive FEI level dressage and eventing rider but my passion is all about training horses and training riders to train their horses - to be their personal trainer.
Â
I have been an instructor for 30 years teaching a huge range of horses and riders to help them achieve better communication, more harmony and improving horses physical condition and soundness.
Quite a few of my clients are successfully competing and enjoying older horses who have come into trainer later in life. My training method is strategic, dare I say methodical, and easy to understand and implement. Quite a few of my clients were new to dressage and thoroughly enjoy the training process that I encourage them to follow. I am also an advocate for cross training wherever possible.
Personally, I have had a number of stints in Germany riding at various barns, including an intensive course to achieve the exclusive German FN qualification “Reitabzeichen 1Dr”. So that makes me the first Australian, through the Brandenburg State Stud Rider Licensing Program, to get the top qualification of RA1.
What I love most is training, and have been training horses for as long as I can remember. I have been really blessed throughout my riding life to come into contact with some amazing rider trainers, horse trainers and all round horse people who were masters at getting a horse just right. They have inspired me throughout my life in an endeavour to develop, train and ride horses who look just right, are beautifully conditioned, supple, and happy. Happy horse, happy rider!
Being a professional rider, I have over a long period of time established my own way or managing my horses. I don’t ride perfect horses, but I do aspire to a perfect way of going - that moment when you go aaahhh that feels so amazing!!
